Articles, checklists, scans and other content here are general information, not advice for your specific situation. Nothing on this site is legal, compliance or HIPAA advice, and reading it doesn't create a consulting relationship. Free scans and assessments, including Legacy Signal and Signal Perimeter, review publicly visible information only and are not audits or certifications.
Services and payments
Consulting work is described in a proposal, statement of work or written agreement, and that document governs the engagement; where it conflicts with these terms, it wins. Fixed-price packages bought online, such as Legacy Launch and Signal assessments, cover the scope described on their pages at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. If something you bought isn't delivered as described, contact us and we'll make it right or refund you.
Acceptable use
Don't use the site to break the law, send spam, probe or attack it or its hosting, or submit anything you don't have the right to share. Don't submit patient or other protected health information through the site's forms.
Intellectual property
Site content, design and branding belong to Legacy IT Consulting. You may share links and quote short excerpts with attribution. Deliverables made for clients are licensed as set out in the engagement agreement.
Third-party services
The site links to services we don't control, such as Stripe checkout. Their own terms apply when you use them.
No warranty and limits of liability
The site and its free tools are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site, and our total liability connected with the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the item in question.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Collin County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms; the version posted here, with its date, is the one that applies.
