Short version: no ad trackers, no analytics cookies, and no selling or sharing your information for marketing. This site collects what you choose to send through a form or email, and what any web host logs to keep a site running.
Who we are
Legacy IT Consulting is an IT consultancy run by Don Lamb Jr. in McKinney, Texas. Questions about this policy go to don@litconsults.com or 945.910.1301.
What we collect
- Forms you send. The consultation form and the Legacy Launch intake form collect what you type in: your name, business, email, phone, and the details you give about your setup.
- Email and calls. If you email or call, we keep that correspondence.
- Server logs. Our host records standard request data (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting.
- Payments. Checkout links go to Stripe. We never see or store your card number; Stripe tells us what was bought and by whom.
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts and scripts are served from litconsults.com itself.
How we use it
To answer you, scope and deliver the work you ask for, send invoices, and keep records of our engagement. We keep a record of business contacts in a customer-relationship system so follow-ups don't fall through the cracks. We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't use it for anyone else's marketing.
Who else handles it
A few service providers process data on our behalf: Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Google Workspace (email and calendar), Stripe (payments), and our CRM provider. Each handles it under its own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Health information
Please don't send patient or other protected health information through this site's forms or by email. If an engagement requires access to protected health information, we handle it under a signed Business Associate Agreement, separate from this website.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don't become engagements are deleted within two years. Client records are kept for as long as the engagement runs and as long afterward as tax and legal record-keeping requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing don@litconsults.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and our email domain is protected with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. No system is perfectly secure, but we practice what we recommend to clients.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
